About me
M. W. Degan is a public-school music teacher in Massachusetts, U.S.A., and a doctoral candidate in Music Education at Boston University, where he also earned Masters in Music Education and Ethnomusicology. His research interests include investigating how individuals conceptualize musicality, music teacher education, issues of social justice within music education, and issues of masculinity in popular music. In addition to his work as a scholar and teacher, M. W. plays bass in several rock bands in the Boston area.
