About me
Aaron Helvig is the director of school and music programs at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. In this role, he guides curriculum-based programs for school audiences, as well as music-centered programs that serve schools, community organizations and general museum visitors. Among his team’s responsibilities is the museum’s flagship education program, Words & Music®, which brings songwriting to over 10,000 participants annually. Prior to joining the Museum’s education team in 2019, Helvig taught at Nashville’s Isaiah T. Creswell Middle School of the Arts. He has served as a guest instructor, clinician, and judge for various music festivals, camps and organizations in Tennessee and his native Arizona, as well as an education curriculum consultant for Quaver Music. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and a master’s degree in music from Northern Arizona University.
