About me
Brad Rees serves as Executive Director of Tiffin University’s Institute of Creative and Media Arts, where for 30 years, he has conducted university choirs, directed the award-winning a cappella ensemble Up in the Air, and taught voice, music theory, music production, and music business. Brad pioneered innovative strategies using commercial music to enhance student recruitment and retention and has developed and implemented cutting-edge commercial music programs and curricula. A recognized leader in contemporary a cappella and vocal jazz education, he has also taught at the University of Northern Colorado, Iowa’s School for Music Vocations, and Bowling Green State University, and directed honors ensembles nationwide. Brad has shared the stage with artists including Michael McDonald, Ben Folds and Bobby McFerrin, and holds degrees in choral conducting, voice, music education and public relations as an alum of the University of Northern Colorado, Western Michigan University, George Mason University and Boston University. His compositions and arrangements are available through UNC Jazz Press and Kerry Marsh Publishing.
