About me
Phu Vu is a Ph.D. candidate and graduate part-time instructor in music education at Texas Tech University. A native of Saigon, Vietnam, he has taught piano, music technology, and general music in Vietnam, Atlanta-Georgia, and has performed as a collaborative pianist, keyboardist, and music producer for television shows, international events, and touring country artists. Phu has taught students of all ages, from prekindergarten to adults and higher education. His research focuses on integrating popular music into piano and general music education to enhance creativity, musicianship, and student engagement. He promotes informal and culturally responsive teaching that connects learning with real-world experiences.
