About me
Eli Yaroch is a first-year Ph.D. student and Associate Instructor in Music Education at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Music Engineering Technologies from the University of Miami, where he also led the MusicReach Contemporary Department and developed curricula in modern band, music technology, and student-centered creativity. His teaching and research focus on popular music pedagogy and quantitative analysis in contemporary music learning. His current work examines generational trends in music educators’ attitudes toward popular music, how teachers balance creativity with traditional instruction, and the role of modern band in supporting meaningful, authentic music-making.
