About me
Dr. Jesse Tillman Pitts, a two-time Latin GRAMMY®-nominated drummer and producer and internationally recognized creative leader, brings a rare synthesis of artistry, operational expertise, and human-centered innovation to the senior living sector. His award-winning work—including the Diamond Prize at the Georges Bizet International Music Competition and a Global Music Award for Outstanding Achievement in Healing Arts Music for Echoes of Yesterday: Music for Gentle Remembering—reflects the same precision, empathy, and cultural sensibility that guide his consulting philosophy. His background in performance, production, and creative systems design informs his approach to aging services, where experience must be crafted, curated, and delivered with intentionality.
Before founding Aravine Consulting, Dr. Pitts built his career from the ground up in senior living—working overnight shifts as a care aide and med tech, then advancing through operations to Regional Director overseeing a 750-bed portfolio. These frontline experiences shaped his conviction that effective transformation in senior care cannot be led solely by theoreticians. It requires leaders who understand the rhythms of a building, the emotional landscape of residents and families, and the operational realities teams navigate daily. This lived expertise inspired the creation of the TILLMAN Method, an evidence-informed framework centered on Transforming Mindsets, Inclusive Engagement, Lively Environments, Loving Leadership, Meaningful Connections, Adaptable Systems, and Nurturing Relationships (NAfME, 2025).
Today, Dr. Pitts’ work as Founder and CEO of Aravine focuses on building sustainable, profitable, and life-giving communities where seniors thrive and staff feel supported. His vision rejects the industry’s tendency toward commoditized care and instead emphasizes relationship-driven culture, operational excellence, and creative engagement as strategic differentiators. Whether designing healing arts experiences, consulting on organizational restructuring, or advancing new models of cognitive care, Dr. Pitts brings the rigor of an operator, the curiosity of a researcher, and the imagination of an artist—qualities that define Aravine’s mission and the future of innovative aging services.
