Dr. José Valentino Ruiz is a multi–GRAMMY® and EMMY® Award-winning artist, scholar, and global creative economy leader who serves as the U.S. Department of State’s inaugural U.S. Speaker of Creative Economy & Global Arts Entrepreneurship, advancing cultural diplomacy and creative industry development initiatives across Africa, Latin America, Europe, and the Caribbean. He is a tenured Associate Professor and Founding Director of the Music Business & Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Florida, where he leads cross-degree curricular innovation, and an Associate Member and Research Collaborator with the University of Florida College of Medicine’s Intelligent Clinical Care Center (IC3), contributing to interdisciplinary initiatives at the intersection of arts, AIhealth innovation, and implementation systems.
