Lawrence Grey is a music educator, curriculum designer, and creative leader who’s reshaping how music and media are taught in schools. He is the founder of Young Producers Group (YPG), an organization that brings hands-on, industry-aligned music production and podcasting into classrooms, boosting literacy and amplifying student voice with music and audio. Over the past fifteen years, Lawrence has designed learning experiences that reflect the lives and imaginations of young people—especially those often left out of traditional music education.His work invites students to explore identity, community, and culture through music and podcasts, while also preparing them for careers in the evolving media landscape. Grounded in the belief that every student deserves access to tools for creative self-expression, Lawrence champions the power of audio, in all its forms, to connect, uplift, and transform.
