Join us June 4–6 at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, as we celebrate the rhythms, relationships, and revolutions shaping popular music education.
The Metrics of Music, which is free and lives online so that it can be continually updated, covers the importance of data in streaming, copyright and royalties, analytics platforms, music licensing, sync, social media, touring, audio/radio, airplay/music charts, touring and related subjects. Students learn how algorithms, consumption, curators, engagement and other factors influence business decisions. There are more than 1,100 pages of content, supported by more than 1,000 sources, colorful tables, graphs, photos, videos, an extensive glossary, library of books, trade pubs, podcasts, trade groups, Executive PROfiles and more. Educators have access to 14 lesson plans. Users encouraged to donate directly to any of 150 organizations in all 50 states, supporting youth music education, musicians in need and music therapy.
