This session challenges several concepts that many music educators regard as sacrosanct, such as slow practice, perfect practice, repetition, and reading music. I will be introducing neuroscience-backed practice methods for at-tempo practice, deliberately imperfect practice, and interleaved practice, and applying these methods to popular music pedagogy.
