Educators spend a lot of time guessing what students think about AI. This session removes the guesswork.
This is a rare opportunity to hear the student perspective unfiltered: not what we assume students feel about AI in the creative process, but what they actually felt, in real time, doing real creative work. The fears and the excitement. The moments of friction and the moments of flow. What they'd want their teachers to know.
In partnership with the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, Suno hosted an intensive two-day songwriting camp where students wrote, performed, and produced original music alongside professional musicians using AI as a core creative tool. In this panel, those students reflect on the experience in their own words. What surprised them. Where they hit walls. What the technology made possible that wasn't possible before. Whether it felt like cheating, or unlocking their potential, or something they hadn't expected at all.
You'll leave with a clearer, more grounded picture of how students are actually relating to AI music tools, what questions they're carrying, and what kinds of creative structures help them engage most honestly and deeply with the work.
